Why this award?

  • This course has been accredited by SQA at SCQF level 4. The course is worth 2 credits.
  • Covers the causes and effects of climate change, the evidence for climate change and how to take action to reduce the impact of climate change.

Aims of the course:

  • Identify the current causes of climate change.
  • Discuss the evidence behind climate change.
  • Investigate the physical and social effects of climate change.
  • Identify actions we can take to reduce the impact of climate change.

This course is free to state schools. 

Who is it for?

Secondary school-aged pupils. The course is only free to state schools.

What time commitment is required?

The course should be able to be completed in 20 hours.The duration of the course depends on timetabling.

This course has been accredited by the SQA at SCQF level 4 and Quality Assessed by the SQA.
