The Ranger Gold Award is a special achievement and gives each participant the opportunity to put everything they’ve learned through the Ranger programme into practice and demonstrate their leadership skills by undertaking an activity in their local community.
To earn the Ranger Gold Award participants need to earn all six Theme Awards and then do the final challenge. The final challenge includes making the Ranger Promise, demonstrating leadership skills by undertaking an activity in the local community learning more about what other opportunities are on offer for young adult members.

The Ranger Gold award is open to Girlguiding members aged 14 to 18 who are part of a Ranger unit.
Participants have the duration of their time in Rangers to complete their Gold award.
No, the award is not currently externally accredited, but the award is recongised in Guiding and demonstrates a strong commitment to the organisation and personal development. The award is assessed internally by the Ranger leader and, once completed, the participant is awarded with a Ranger Gold Award badge.
