Girlguiding Scotland Brownie Gold Award

Why this award?

The Brownie gold award is a really special achievement. It gives you the opportunity to put everything you’ve learned through the Brownie programme into practice and do something for your Brownie friends before you move on to new adventures.

To earn your Brownie gold award you need to earn all 6 theme awards and then do the final challenge. The final challenge includes making the Brownie promise, organising a unit activity or meeting and visiting a local Guide unit to learn more about becoming a Guide.

The 6 theme awards are:

  • Know myself
  • Express myself
  • Be well
  • Have adventures
  • Take action
  • Skills for my future

Who is it for?

The Brownie gold award is open to Girlguiding members aged 7 to 10 who are part of a Brownie unit.

Participants have the duration of their time in Brownies to complete their gold award.
