Bethan's Story

Bethan outlines how she has benefitted from participating in Girlguiding's awards programme. Having gained a Girlguiding Young Leader Qualification, she is now a Girlguiding volunteer, passing on her learning to other girls and young women. 

"Achieving youth awards can just make a whole world of difference to a young person. There are so many different skills you can gain and that's the whole point of them. They give you new challenges, put you in new comfort zones and give you experiences you would never have the chance to get in school."
