The Awards Network is made up of some of the most noteworthy award providers to young people in Scotland.
The Awards Network is a forum of providers of youth work awards providing non-formal learning opportunities for young people,. Its members work together to raise awareness of the range and impact of youth work awards that accredit learning and achievements of young people aged 10 to 25. Its membership includes the largest youth organisations in Scotland along with a range of niche award providers.
The Purpose of Awards Network is to ‘Promote and recognise the achievements of young people gained through youth work awards’.
The Vision of the Awards Network is that ‘Youth Work Awards are widely valued and accepted as critical evidence of every young person’s learning and achievement’.
If you're a fan of aviation, action and adventure, love sports and getting to know people then you're in the right place. Every year nearly 56,000 Air Cadets and volunteer staff take part in exciting events all over the country. And with over 1,000 squadrons across the UK, you could be one of them.
What's in it for you?
Aside from flying, sports, target shooting, adventure training and great fun? You’ll soon find that being an air cadet is its own reward - you constantly see the benefits of your own efforts, building on your achievements and earning BTECs and DofE Awards. You'll be expected to take part in as many of the activities we run as possible, but with what's on offer you won't need much persuading!
We have high standards to maintain as we are a 'military' youth organisation and you'll naturally take pride in your uniform (we supply that) and appearance. You'll be well mannered and self-disciplined. You'll be joining an organisation of which you’ll be very proud.
