Wildhearts The Micro Tyco Challenge

Why this award?

Micro-Tyco is a leading global entrepreneurship competition which challenges young people to work together and develop innovative solutions to address social and environmental issues.

This challenge asks young people to identify an issue, that is important to them, their school or their local community. Schools are provided with a slide deck, and have to choose, develop and address their chosen issue. Top performing teams are invited to pitch their ideas to a global judging panel, where they receive expert feedback from leading global brands.

By working in collaboration with our corporate partners, young people are provided with the inspiration to build their idea, the knowledge to guide it, and the networks to amplify it. The experience of participating helps young people to develop an innovative, entrepreneurial mindset, regardless of their background.

The challenge aims to build skills for life and is underpinned by our commitment to raising attainment. The Micro-Tyco programme is aligned with the Skills Builder Essential Skills Framework, and the aims of the National Curriculum.

We provide an engaging, student-led programme encouraging the progression of collaboration and innovation. Micro-Tyco is delivered free for young people, as a result of WildHearts Corporate Partners.
