Why this award?

Our Personal Development Awards aim to help learners become more independent and develop their potential as contributing members of society.

Learners will develop self-reliance, self-esteem and confidence through supported and independent learning. Personal Development Awards are available at SCQF levels 2 to 6

Who is it for?

The Award would be useful for learners who would benefit from practical learning activities which help them to develop skills associated with independent living, taking part in the community, and work. The Award is suitable for those learners who would benefit from a more structured framework for learning which focuses on the development of organisational skills, social interaction and self-reflection. 

What time commitment is required?

120 hours at SCQF Level 2, 3

160 hours at SCQF Levels 4, 5, 6

Is the award externally accredited?

These awards are SQA accredited and available at SCQF Levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
