The Sea Cadet Achievement, Teamwork and Citizenship Award has been developed thrpugh Lowland Reserve FCA specifically to enhance the employability of young people across Scotland by showcasing their skills and learning to future employers. It has been credit rated by SQA, which also awards the qualification in partnership with Lowland RFCA. This means that the award is listed on a young person’s National Record of Achievement alongside their school and college qualifications.
The award demonstrates a level of proficiency in seamanship and related skills and knowledge, as well as citizenship, team-working and leadership. It sits at level 4 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework and is worth 12 credits.
Sea Cadets aged between 12.5 and 16 years, who have successfully completed the training to achieve the rank of Ordinary Cadet.

This is an SQA customised award, credit-rated at SCQF level 4 and listed on a young person’s National Record of Achievement alongside their school and college qualifications.
