Why this award?

Powering Futures prepare the workforce of the future for the jobs of the future. We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to be happy and successful in their future.

This level 6 qualification enables learners to develop the critical meta-skills that employers are looking for, while exposing them to real business problems, and teaches them working methodologies that all professionals need to thrive in their future, whatever that may look like.

Powering Futures provides a unique opportunity, delivering on Improvement Priorities linked to Learning for Sustainability, Developing the Young Workforce and Attainment through real problem-based, interdisciplinary learning.

The programme's bottom-up approach encourages accessible, self-directed learning and initiative, offering a realistic preview of further and higher education and work environments. Through developing an understanding of the importance of sustainability in today’s reality, as well as developing the critical meta-skills needed to respond to the changing employment landscape, learners emerge ready to transition into positive and sustained destinations.
